The purpose of this series is to establish cultural communication between the many researchers and scholars who have been carrying out research for some time in Padua.
For the members of the Center for Research in Medieval Philosophy, this series will be a venue for the publication of their works, and likewise for Italian and foreign scholars who have found in Padua an ideal setting for their studies. The title of the series refers to Padua as a common setting for a large scholarly community; it does not imply the existence of a distinctive school of thought or a particular scientific methodology.
The series will be an example of open and fruitful cooperation between different areas of expertise in medieval studies and will reject a narrow approach which is not open to other disciplines.
We hope the series will become a useful instrument of dialogue among all the different areas of medieval studies.
